As I wrote in my book Survivor Wannabe, I once received a call under the old casting regime, but I never made it past the obligatory long‑form back‑and‑forth. I’m convinced that if I ever got to LA, I’d be on the show.
After COVID, under the new regime, I was sent the long form again — but this time it felt more like a formality. Almost like, “Just email him the form so he stops asking.”
What I really wanted was a conversation. A chance to plead my case to casting the same way I’d plead my case to the jury on day 39 (well… 26 now).
The silence — not even a simple “thanks but no thanks” — is what pushed me to write the book and launch this website. I’m still not sure what bothers me more: being ignored entirely, or knowing that Dan Foley and I are the same age, he made it on the show, and I can’t even get a phone call.
