Quickie Post #3 ... Don’t Go Viral, Go to Fiji

July 5, 2026

When my daughter was in 6th grade, she secretly made a social media account with an anonymous alter-ego. It was tied to some online game — Roblox or whatever the tween universe was at the time.

Her alter-ego went viral.
50,000 views in under two weeks.

Eventually she came to us filled with guilt. We made her shut it down, of course, but privately I was impressed.

Fast forward to this website and this blog.

I know how to tell a story. If I ever got the chance to plead my case to the EPs of Survivor, I’m sure I could convince them to give me a shot.
It’s why I wrote the book.
It’s why I launched this site.

People who stumble into the Wannabe world probably think I’m an attention whore.
The truth is simpler:

I’m not trying to go viral. I’m trying to go to Fiji.

For years I helped with scuba classes. Students were always told: you don’t know what kind of diver you are until you get wet. Some love wrecks. Some love reefs. Some take pictures. Some spear fish. But you don’t know until you’re tired, cold, buoyant, sinking, breathing through a regulator, and dealing with whatever the ocean throws at you.

Survivor is the same.

People think they know how they’ll play — until they’re hungry, wet, exhausted, lied to, and surrounded by strangers who want them gone. It’s the great unknown.

Here’s what I do know: I’d play hard. I’d lie when I needed to. And once the season ended, I’d fade into the background.

I don’t want to be a re-run / returning player.
I don’t want charity events.
I don’t need a blue checkmark.
I just want to play the game, kick some ass, and go home.

I’ve said it in multiple application videos: it’s the game. I’d play it without the cameras and without the prize money.
